The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka.

The story of the man who woke up to find himself turned into a giant cockroach/insect turned out to be more depressing than comical. So the cockroach led a life within his room, shunned by his family members who are afraid and disgusted of him. He understood them but they did not know of it, and he could not communicate with them. They fail to clean his room and he eventually became stuck with dirt and grime and dust and hair. His father even threw an apple at him when he escaped his room, which struck his back and became lodged into his body, severely disabling him. One day, on the verge of breakdowns, they decide to rid of him, only to find him dead the next day. I actually felt very sad and sorry for the poor cockroach.

And now I walk the walk, for you.

Now I am reading a short story (not that I have alot of time for stories, this is my literature text) of a man who wakes up to find himself turned into a vermin (cockroach if I am not wrong) and his experience tryng to get out of bed, and I just stopped at the part where his chief clerk came to find him because he did not turn up for work, and have reached the exciting portion where I am about to find out if he is going to be seen in his cockroachie body!
